Fitchburg, Mass.—Cornerstone Performing Arts Center presents Plenty of Parachutes, a dance/theatre and film production created by director/choreographer Ellen Guglietti. With pay what you can performances for teens and adults alike, this riveting and provocative performance promises to be an evening to remember. Accompany a young girl along her life-changing journey.

Cornerstone will be touring an abridged version of Plenty of Parachutes, to surrounding towns this summer and fall.  Featuring live music accompaniment, film, spoken word, and dance.  If you are interested in bringing a performance to your area, please email Production Manager jillian@cpacfitchburg.org.

Plenty of Parachutes was conceived by a story from writer/singer Luke Condon and the writings of Awakening Youth Dance Co. A young teenager runs away from home, leaving her father, in search for excitement and the high-life of an unyielding city. Along the way she embodies the stories and struggles of so many with the same “looking glass” reflection. This story, written by Artistic Director, Ellen Guglietti is narrated by Actor/Production Manager, Jillian Sauvageau, with live music performed by Managing Director, Pete Cormier and his daughter Mallory, and illuminated by the film expertise of Daniel Marcum.   Plenty of Parachutes is sure to inspire audiences who love dance, the spoken word, and the magic of cinematography. 

Young artists from Cornerstone’s rigorous dance training program have come together in collaboration with professional dancers/choreographers from the Dendron Dance Co. These professionals include: Amanda Doyle, Tony Guglietti, Jill Cunningham, Jenn Shelton, Kaitlyn Nye, Brian Chiasson and director Ellen Guglietti.

Cornerstone Performing Arts Center is a nonprofit arts organization dedicated to inspiring, educating and entertaining through music, theatre and dance. Located in the heart of downtown Fitchburg, 454 Main Street (next to Shack’s Clothing Store), the center offers training in music, drama, and dance.
